- Introduction to mindfulness, and its benefits
- Why we can’t sleep
- Mindfulness exercise
Session 2- Setting up our Day for Sleep at Night
- Switching off auto-pilot
- Daily activities that reduce stress
- Mindfulness exercise
Session 3- Night-time Habits that Support Sleep
- The basics to getting a good sleep
- Night-time habits that reduce stress
- Mindfulness exercise
Session 4- Changing Your Relationship to Sleep
- What to do when you cannot get to sleep
- Develop your capacity for self-care and self-compassion
- Mindfulness exercise
Questions you may have
- Do we sit or lie down for the mindfulness exercises?
- The mindfulness exercises make up 10- 15 mins of each session and will be done seated in chairs
- What should I wear?
- Wear comfortable clothing
- What should I bring?
- Pen and paper if you wish to take notes
- A session handout will be emailed to you each week
