Session 1- The Science of Mindfulness and Sleep

  • Introduction to mindfulness, and its benefits
  • Why we can’t sleep
  • Mindfulness exercise

Session 2- Setting up our Day for Sleep at Night

  • Switching off auto-pilot
  • Daily activities that reduce stress
  • Mindfulness exercise

Session 3- Night-time Habits that Support Sleep

  • The basics to getting a good sleep
  • Night-time habits that reduce stress
  • Mindfulness exercise

Session 4- Changing Your Relationship to Sleep

  • What to do when you cannot get to sleep
  • Develop your capacity for self-care and self-compassion
  • Mindfulness exercise

Questions you may have

  • Do we sit or lie down for the mindfulness exercises?
    • The mindfulness exercises make up 10- 15 mins of each session and will be done seated in chairs
  • What should I wear?
    • Wear comfortable clothing
  • What should I bring?
    • Pen and paper if you wish to take notes
    • A session handout will be emailed to you each week
  • How do I register for this course?
  • When is payment required?
    • Payment is required prior to the course starting, or you can pay on the first session if you let me know in advance
    • There are no refunds if you miss a session- as your place on the course has been reserved for you
