Mindful Eating Course
This 2 week course is for anyone who wants to change their relationship with food in order to support their physical, psychological and mental well-being. You will learn how to reduce emotional eating and become more mindful of your eating patterns. This course is run over 2 weekly 2 hour sessions, with exercises to do in between the sessions and handouts each week.

Week 1
The Science of Mindful Eating
- Introduction to mindfulness, mindful eating and its benefits
- How to integrate mindfulness and mindful eating into your daily life
- Mindful eating exercise
The Science of Emotional Eating
- How emotions can impact our eating behaviours
- How to deal with cravings and difficult emotions mindfully
- Mindful eating exercise
Week 2
The Science of Behaviour and Habits
- Understand and become aware of unhelpful eating patterns and habits
- Strategies to deal with binge eating, over-eating and mindless eating
- Mindful eating exercise
The Science of Gratitude and Self-Compassion
- How gratitude and self-compassion are related to mindful eating
- Develop your capacity for gratitude and self-compassion
- Mindful eating exercise
Questions you may have
- Do we sit or lie down for the mindfulness exercises?
- The mindfulness exercises make up 10- 15 mins of each session and will be done seated in chairs
- What should I wear?
- Wear comfortable clothing
- What should I bring?
- Pen and paper if you wish to take notes
- A session handout will be emailed to you each week
